Conceived in 2003 by two friends, Studio BOON started as a business for two Industrial Design graduates - Joe Siebert and Samuel Beaumont - to get themselves immersed in professional design.

So why Studio BOON?

Boon or Boony was a family nickname for founding director Samuel Beaumont, but when it came to choosing a business name Studio BOON came as a convenient option due to the meaning of BOON.

boon 1 |boo¯n|
noun
1 [usu. in sing. ] a thing that is helpful or beneficial : the navigation system will be a boon to both civilian and military users.
2 archaic a favor or request : may I have the inestimable boon of a few minutes' conversation?
ORIGIN Middle English (originally in the sense [request for a favor] ): from Old Norse bón.

boon 2 |bun| |bu?n|

(of a companion or friend) close; intimate; favorite : he debated the question with a few boon companions in the barroom.
ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: boon from Old French bon, from Latin bonus ‘good.’ The early literal sense was [good fellow,] originally denoting a drinking companion.

Fast forward to 2008, they are still just as keen to deliver fresh and exciting ideas that will benefit their clients.
